Nissan issued a “Do Not Drive” warning for 2002-2006 Nissan Sentra, 2002-2004 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2002-2003 Infiniti QX4 models, affecting 48,000 vehicles in Canada. This recall is part of an ongoing campaign due to defective Takata-brand airbag inflators.
If you own one of the affected vehicles here’s how you can check:
Utilize online tools provided by Carfax Canada and auto manufacturers to stay informed about recalls.
Actively check updates from Transport Canada and the Government of Canada's Recalls and Safety Alerts system.
Manufacture obligation: Under Canadian law, manufacturers must notify car owners of recalls within 60 days of identifying a defect impacting safety. Notifications include details about the defect, safety risks, fix instructions, and precautions until the repair is complete.

💸 Canadian mortgage debt reaches $2.16T
Gif by ShorewestRealtors on Giphy
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. reports that total residential mortgage debt reached $2.16 trillion. Up 3.4% year-over-year, making it the slowest growth in 23 years.
Why?
Higher mortgage costs and uncertainty regarding the Bank of Canada's interest rate policy have led to a decrease in home sales and prices in many regions in the latter half of 2023.
The future of housing market: The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) predicts that the slowdown may be temporary.
Expected declines in mortgage rates, population growth, and increases in real disposable incomes are anticipated to boost home sales and prices, accelerating mortgage debt growth.
